decis\u00f5es relacionadas com a identifica\u00e7\u00e3o e promo\u00e7\u00e3o de l\u00edderes t\u00eam tido nos \u00faltimos tempos, cada vez mais, um impacto significativo no desempenho e na sustentabilidade das organiza\u00e7\u00f5es, sendo um tema de maior foco e pesquisa do mundo empresarial. Apesar disso, \u00e9 frequente que estas decis\u00f5es sejam baseadas, sobretudo, na <strong>performance atual do colaborador<\/strong>, assumindo que, um colaborador com excelentes resultados ser\u00e1, naturalmente, um bom l\u00edder. No entanto, <strong>desempenho<\/strong> e <strong>potencial<\/strong> s\u00e3o dois conceitos distintos e, que, no nosso entender, devem ser avaliados de forma complementar.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>A <strong>performance<\/strong> representa aquilo que uma pessoa \u00e9 capaz de entregar no contexto da sua fun\u00e7\u00e3o atual, refletindo conhecimentos t\u00e9cnicos, experi\u00eancia e compet\u00eancias j\u00e1 desenvolvidas. O <strong>potencial<\/strong>, por outro lado, diz respeito \u00e0 capacidade de crescer, aprender e responder eficazmente a desafios futuros, muitas vezes, em contextos de maior complexidade e responsabilidade; contexto mais amb\u00edguos e competitivos; contextos mais ou menos din\u00e2micos. Conv\u00e9m acima de tudo definir \u00e0 priori \u2013 Potencial existe? Mas potencial para qu\u00ea?<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Um colaborador pode ser um excelente especialista, mas, por outro lado, pode n\u00e3o possuir as caracter\u00edsticas necess\u00e1rias para liderar equipas, gerir a mudan\u00e7a ou tomar decis\u00f5es estrat\u00e9gicas sob press\u00e3o.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>\u00c9 precisamente neste contexto que o <strong>HPTI (High Potential Trait Indicator)<\/strong>, da Thomas, assume um papel diferenciador. Este Assessment foi desenvolvido especificamente para avaliar o potencial de lideran\u00e7a, ou seja, o Thomas HPTI mede seis tra\u00e7os de personalidade que, a investiga\u00e7\u00e3o cient\u00edfica subjacente, associa ao sucesso em fun\u00e7\u00f5es de lideran\u00e7a. Em vez de avaliar compet\u00eancias j\u00e1 adquiridas ou conhecimentos t\u00e9cnicos, este Assessment identifica predisposi\u00e7\u00f5es comportamentais que influenciam a forma como uma pessoa lidera, decide, comunica e reage em contextos exigentes\/amb\u00edguos.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>O modelo avalia dimens\u00f5es cr\u00edticas para o exerc\u00edcio de fun\u00e7\u00f5es de lideran\u00e7a, como a <strong>Consci\u00eancia (Conscientiousness)<\/strong>, relacionada com a autodisciplina, e uma abordagem organizada no desempenho da fun\u00e7\u00e3o; o <strong>Ajustamento (Adjustment)<\/strong>, que traduz a capacidade para gerir press\u00e3o e manter estabilidade emocional na gest\u00e3o do stress; a <strong>Curiosidade (Curiosity)<\/strong>, associada \u00e0 inova\u00e7\u00e3o, aprendizagem, mudan\u00e7as, abordagem a novos m\u00e9todos; a <strong>Aud\u00e1cia (Risk Approach)<\/strong>, relevante para a tomada de decis\u00e3o e gest\u00e3o da incerteza; com a forma com se lida com situa\u00e7\u00f5es desafiantes, dif\u00edceis ou amea\u00e7adoras; a <strong>Ambiguidade (Ambiguity Acceptance)<\/strong>, que reflete a capacidade de atuar em cen\u00e1rios de mudan\u00e7a e informa\u00e7\u00e3o incompleta; e a <strong>Competitividade (Competitiveness)<\/strong>, relacionada com a motiva\u00e7\u00e3o para alcan\u00e7ar resultados e influenciar os outros; vontade de \u201cganhar\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Ao fornecer uma vis\u00e3o objetiva sobre estas caracter\u00edsticas, o <strong>Assessment HPTI<\/strong> ajuda as organiza\u00e7\u00f5es a identificar colaboradores com maior probabilidade de sucesso em futuras fun\u00e7\u00f5es de lideran\u00e7a, mesmo quando ainda n\u00e3o tiveram oportunidade de demonstrar essas capacidades no desempenho das suas fun\u00e7\u00f5es e no seu dia a dia, ou que ainda n\u00e3o tenham sido expostas a contextos que permitam identificar potencial. Desta forma, reduz-se a depend\u00eancia de avalia\u00e7\u00f5es subjetivas ou da simples extrapola\u00e7\u00e3o da performance atual.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>O impacto desta abordagem \u00e9 particularmente relevante nos processos de <strong>sucess\u00e3o<\/strong> e <strong>promo\u00e7\u00e3o interna<\/strong>. Ao integrar a avalia\u00e7\u00e3o de potencial nas decis\u00f5es de talento, as organiza\u00e7\u00f5es conseguem identificar futuros l\u00edderes com maior rigor, direcionar investimentos em desenvolvimento para as pessoas com maior capacidade de evolu\u00e7\u00e3o e, minimizar o risco de promo\u00e7\u00f5es inadequadas. Como resultado, fortalecem a qualidade da lideran\u00e7a, asseguram uma sucess\u00e3o mais consistente e aumentam a probabilidade de sucesso dos colaboradores em fun\u00e7\u00f5es cr\u00edticas para o neg\u00f3cio.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Em suma, avaliar apenas a <strong>performance <\/strong>responde \u00e0 quest\u00e3o <em>&#8220;Quem tem tido bons resultados?&#8221;<\/em>. Avaliar tamb\u00e9m o <strong>potencial,<\/strong> atrav\u00e9s de ferramentas robustas como o HPTI da Thomas, permite responder a uma pergunta ainda mais estrat\u00e9gica: <em>&#8220;Quem tem maior probabilidade de ser um l\u00edder de sucesso no futuro?&#8221;<\/em>. \u00c9 esta perspetiva que torna a avalia\u00e7\u00e3o do potencial um fator decisivo para reduzir o risco nas decis\u00f5es de
